The Loch Ness Country Lodge sleeps and the Loch Ness Cottage both sleep up to 4 and the Loch Ness Shepherds Hut sleeps 2.
The Country Lodge and Cottage are both dog friendly (small charge of £20 per stay for small to medium dogs, max 2 dogs) a dog bed or a small/ medium dog crate may be available if requested in advance along with bowls, towel and blanket, please note the Shepherds Hut does not take pets.
The Country Lodge is access friendly and a travel cot may be available for guests staying within the lodges.
Outdoor picnic/ seating areas are available for all 3 properties plus an additional seating area (for a maximum of 2) overlooking the Port Clair burn that runs alongside the properties.

Loch Ness Highland Cottages offer dog friendly superior and traditional self-catering accommodation near the shores of Loch Ness. Loch Ness Country Lodge (superior accommodation with loch view) and Loch Ness Forest Lodge. (traditional accommodation with mountain view). Nestled at the edge of the forest they are only a 1 minute walk to this wonderfully mysterious and spiritual loch and a few minutes drive to Invermoriston and Fort Augustus villages.
Behind the lodges in the forest the Great Glen Way "low route" runs from the west coast to the east coast, some 75 miles long. The surrounding area is ideal for families, cyclists, walkers, foragers, pets and those interested in nature. The wildlife is amazing and you might be lucky enough to see squirrels, Deer, Wild Boar, Slow-worms, Buzzards, Pine-Marten, Osprey, Heron and many other varieties of birds.
The Country Lodge lodge and the Ness Cottage sleeps up to 4 and both come fully equipped with fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV/ Freesat, dining table and chairs. The Shepherds Hut sleeps 2 and the kitchen is equipped with 4 ring hob and microwave.
The welcome basket is on top of tea and coffee and will be readily available for you to enjoy after your welcome arrival and there is also log burner in each lodge and free 4G WIFI for all.
At or around our location you can enjoy a wealth of activities.
We are only a 20 minute drive from Urquhart Castle and the Loch Ness Exhibition centre.
The Isle of Skye is only 1 hour away and you can stop at one of Scotland's most popular castles, Eileen Donan on the way.
The capital of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness, is only 40 mins drive away.
Ardross castle (home of the Traitors TV programme) is only 51 miles away.
During the winter season you can ski or snowboard on the Nevis range which is only a 35 minute drive away.
Scotland is a photographer's dream with its majestic mountains, wonderful lochs, amazing coastline and great glens so don't forget your camera.
Regarding food, there is a very good local restaurant and coffee shop in Invermoriston serving the very best of Scottish cuisine and a wide choice of eating places or takeaway in Fort Augustus only a few minutes drive from us.
Inverness has supermarkets who deliver to our lodges also (booking in advance is required).
A little bit more about Loch Ness Highland Cottages and our location?
Well, we are remote enough for nature lovers yet only a few minutes drive to all the amenities that you might need such as pubs, restaurants, post offices, petrol stations (Fort Augusts is 3.5 miles and Drumnadrochit is 15 miles).
You can park your car outside your lodge (free parking) and enjoy walking, cycling, climbing from our location. Children and pets will love the forest walks.
All three accommodations have either an outdoor picnic table or garden table and chairs.
As we are located within the forrest surrounding Loch Ness there are no street lights which gives excellent starry views on clear nights, torches are located within each accommodation to support you.
Directions
We are 3.5 miles north of Fort Augustus on the A82 road. You will see our white sign on the left hand side of the road. Or, if coming from the north we are 2 miles from Invermoriston.
